“1000 Cuts” an official selection at 2015 Telluride Mountainfilm festival May 22-25

James Balog has directed and produced a short film called “1000 Cuts” that will premiere at the 2015 Telluride Mountainfilm Festival. Two screenings at the Sheridan Opera House are Friday, May 22 at 12:15pm and Sunday, May 24 at 9:15 p.m.

Film Description: Oil pads, drilling rigs, gaseous flare-offs, all in close proximity to redrock spires, painted walls and graceful arches. What is happening to Utah’s canyon country? Photographer and climate activist Jim Balog sets off with his camera and a crew to investigate the insidious invasion of industry on one of the country’s crown jewels: the Greater Canyonlands.

If you plan to be in Telluride for Memorial Day weekend, please join James and his crew for one of the screenings.
